The Association publishes a New Parents Booklet with information on Down syndrome that is distributed through local hospitals and pediatricians free of charge. Volunteer parent advocates are asked by hospital social workers and new parents to meet with parents with newborns with Down syndrome in the hospital to provide accurate information and peer support. Association members are available to walk hand-in-hand with new parents to provide information, advocacy and support as the child grows.
